At this special time while commemorating the 75th anniversary of D DAY, we could not think of a better way to honor our brave men and women of all wars, than to have Old Glory remind us of their sacrifices.

Each year the Buckeye lake Area Civic Association raises money to give back to the community through fund raisers: Tour of Homes, Antique Lure and Vintage Tackle Show, OSU Football books and the Reverse Raffle. This year, with the water returning to normal, getting our parks back to normal is important. The Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association purchased 3 flagpoles for our parks at Liebs Island, Sellers Point and Mud Island. The Knights of Columbus donated the flags. The flagpoles can be seen from the lake, flying high! A special thanks goes to The Flag Lady for installing the flagpoles.

This is just one way the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association gives back to the community. BLACA funds scholarship programs at Sheridan, Millersport and Lakewood High Schools through the Excellence in Citizenship and Young American Awards. ($2000.00 was given out this year). $2500.00 given to the restoration of the Sternwheeler, $1000.00 towards the BLASST. BLACA has also given to the BL Library, Movie Night in Millersport, Scoreboard in Millersport, Baby Pantry in Hebron, Multiple food pantries in the 3 Counties and more.

To be a part of this organization: A membership is just $15.00 for a family and $25.00 for a business. Visit the website at www.buckeyelakecivicassociation.org & friend us on Facebook. Be a part of something good on the lake!
